How to make mirrors safer

Glass mirrors are a problem, especially in schools. Prone to the same risks as glass, they are identified as a hazard in a glazing risk assessment.
Durable’s acrylic mirrors are a practical solution to the problem which satisfy current health and safety requirements. For approximately the same cost as upgrading existing mirrors to current safety standard, we can replace them with our 6mm square edged acrylic mirrors – a safe, strong and highly cost effective option. Replacement mirrors can be made to any size to match those already installed.
Fitting is straightforward and causes the minimum of disruption. First we survey the premises and remove and dispose of existing mirrors. The new acrylic mirrors are attached within minutes using silicone based, water resistant adhesive. Unsightly old screw holes and fixings are covered up and no additional drilling is required.
